YouTube is Leaving Fire TV Sticks on Jan 1
« on: December 11, 2017, 05:53:22 PM »
Here is how to get a YouTube App Back on your Fire TV devices!

After the spat between Amazon and Google over devices not being made available on Amazon's store.  Jan 1, Fire TV and Fire Stick owners  will no longer will be able to use the official YouTube app on their devices.

Here is Google's Official Statement Why They Are Removing Their YouTube App

“We’ve been trying to reach agreement with Amazon to give consumers access to each other’s products and services. But Amazon doesn’t carry Google products like Chromecasts and Google Home, doesn’t make Prime Video available for Google Cast users, and last month stopped selling some of Nest’s latest products. Given this lack of reciprocity, we are no longer supporting YouTube on Echo Show and Fire TV. We hope we can reach an agreement to resolve these issues soon.”

Lucky for Google, YouTube is one of the most used apps on the Amazon Fire devices. Other than using a web browser to watch YouTube videos, what can fans of this popular streaming service do other than buying a Nvidia Shield or a Roku media streamer to use instead?

Otherwise, you can side load this alternative YouTube app on your Fire TV and continue to enjoy all the great content found on YouTube like these free movies and shows.

This tutorial will show you how to install YouTube on the Fire TV and Fire Stick

Here's How To Install YouTube On Fire TV Or Fire TV Stick
